At Home in South Africa

So for a while now I have felt as if I switched from being a visitor to becoming an “adopted South African,” but of course as soon as that happened I also started having to think about jobs, classes, requirements and such back in the states…

But I now can truthfully say that I feel at home in both cultures. Although, no I cannot surf. That seems to be one requirement I have not fulfilled. This entire semester has made already begin to plan trips back here and up throughout Africa, hopefully soon-I love getting asked when I’m coming back (soon!)

Now, however professors are referencing end of semester exams and as papers begin to pile up, I know that before my time here ends I will only be able to squeeze in more excursion before I have to pack up my dorm room. But there is so much yet to see! So of course, I will have to come back. Until then I’ll take all the Boerwors I can get and browse couchsurfing.com
